As the UK’s leading organic flour brand, Doves Farm partnered with 9xb to build a new website with the aim of offering customers a first-class online shopping experience. The new website has been built on our leading Peracto platform. With its customisable framework and library of features, Peracto provided the perfect technology to meet the growing needs of Doves Farm.
Doves Farm has grown its brand significantly since the owners sowed their first seeds in 1978. As interest grew in specialty grains, it didn’t take long for all major retailers to stock their products. Selling through supermarkets and other retailers is a significant part of Doves Farm's success, however, in 2020 Doves Farm decided to give more intention to its direct-to-consumer sales channel as the pandemic increased consumer visitor numbers by 350% and transactions by a whopping 750%.
To capitalise on this opportunity a new website was launched that would cater for their primary D2C audience for consumers who want organic, sustainably sourced produce.
The new content-led eCommerce store was designed to drive engagement with consumers through advice, recipes and ease of use and clear labelling. Keeping the consumer in mind, the website is also packed with customer focused features which include filters allowing customers to search by dietary requirement, lifestyle and pack sizes along with improved merchandising and lightning-fast search powered by Algolia.
