Congratulations to the 9xb sponsored Bed Race Team who completed Knaresborough’s famous Bed Race Saturday, 11th June 2016. Featuring 9xb’s very own director, Rob Burns, the team started in 62nd place and finished 24th out of 90 teams.
This bizarre tradition started in 1966 and now sees over 25,000 spectators descend on the small market town of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. The cobbled streets were lined with people who came to watch the Beds whizz through the 2.4 mile race before each team plunged themselves and their Bed into the icy River Nidd as they swam towards the finish line.
9xb are delighted to have helped raise over £5,000 in support of a local man and his family following a debilitating stroke.
Well done to all teams involved in this wondrously wacky event! See you again next year!
