Following a competitive pitch, 9xb were appointed to work with Total to develop their flagship gas and power website. The site's core objectives were to generate high volumes of traffic, streamline their service to existing business customers and generate new sales enquiries.
The new website needed to embrace the opportunity provided by the continued growth of the internet as the primary tool for businesses researching energy suppliers. The creative needed to be reflective of the Total brand whilst giving Gas & Power its own unique identity.
We carried out audience profiling to understand the types of business that Total worked with and to identify new opportunities. Our digital creative team developed concepts aligning the customers' needs with the key benefits of Total's proposition. Conversion optimisation identified the hot-spots where people are most likely to convert and fully embraced the opportunity. The Total customer portal was then integrated into the website to provide quick and easy access to live account information.
The results speak for themselves, with traffic up 45%, conversions up 35% and top 10 search results
for many popular terms.
