With over 40 branches, Williams & Co is the South of England’s leading plumbing merchant. Their existing Magento eCommerce store could no longer keep pace with the needs of their customers and the threat of competitors. Williams therefore required a new trade-only eCommerce store that would allow their customers to easily and quickly purchase products, create quotes and manage their account - whilst having the ability to seamlessly integrate with their existing ERP.
As a Progressive Web App (PWA), the new Peracto powered eCommerce store empowers Williams’ three Regional Fulfilment Centres (RFCs) to deliver online purchases to customers 7 days a week, 364 days a year, to increase online revenue and provide a better customer experience.

"Following a comprehensive ITT process to source a new eCommerce platform, 9xb was chosen as our preferred supplier. Specifically, we were impressed with the synergy between the solutions they have provided to some of their existing clients and our own business requirements. We look forward to a longstanding, professional symbiotic relationship."
Trade users can register for a Williams account easily via the eCommerce website. Through integration with the Gas Safety Register database, users can enter their Gas Safe registered number to quickly validate their account. This instantly gives users access to tiered pricing, ability to create quotes and purchase products for same-day collection or delivery. And, where safety accreditations have not been supplied, William’s have the ability to block purchasing of certain products.
A password-protected, self-service area where all customer details are saved and can be updated at a touch of a button. Customers can view a real time snapshot of their account, including order history, invoices and credits. A powerful feature to support cash flow is the ability to pay invoices online; with filters to pay a minimum recurring payment, all outstanding invoices or all invoices for a particular month. Key to the plumbing trade, users can add several delivery addresses, so items can be delivered directly to customer’s addresses.
Products can be easily added to multiple quotes and shared with customers for approval before purchasing. Product prices are locked for 30 days to ensure trade customers avoid potential price hikes. Quotes can then be easily converted into a basket, ready for purchase.
Live stock information, real-time pricing, invoices, statements and the account balance is all powered via the tight integration between the Peracto eCommerce platform and Kerridge CS ERP. This ensures trade users are always served with up-to-date and accurate product information.
